Gregg Schaefer

Gregg is a 1978 graduate of the University of North Dakota with a B.A. in Business Administration. He began his insurance career as an insurance company underwriter and joined Vaaler in 1989. Gregg has more than 40 years of experience in the industry and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation, the industry’s most prestigious certification.
Gregg specializes in insurance for contractors, trucking, manufacturers, food processors, restaurants, and hotels. He serves his customers by properly identifying risks and exposures and designing custom insurance and risk management programs to protect their assets and satisfy their needs.
Gregg is a board member at the YMCA in Grand Forks. He spent several years volunteering as a youth hockey coach and is a past board member of the Youth Hockey Association. His hobbies include being an avid golfer, playing regularly in senior hockey leagues and taking part in group exercise and wellness programs.
His family includes his wife, Susie, and his sons, Chad, Ryan, and Tyler.
